During dedicated expo time, NYSSBA staff members will be on hand to answer your questions about policy, advocacy, training and more. Stop by to say hello!

Student Art Exhibit
Always a highlight of Convention, you will be amazed by the talent and creativity on display from students across the state! The exhibit is brought to you by NYSSBA and the New York State Art Teachers Association.

Find the full schedule of events, speaker listings, educational session handouts and maps of the meeting space and expo floor – all at your fingertips. NYSSBA Committees
NYSSBA’s Resolutions, Awards and Cultural Diversity Committees provide guidance for their respective initiatives. These committees allow our members the opportunity to work side by side with NYSSBA staff, advise on issues and set positions and guidelines for the association activities.

President’s Award
The NYSSBA President’s Award is given to an individual who has made significant contributions to public education in the state. Each year, the current NYSSBA President presents the recipient with the award during the Annual Convention & Education Expo Opening Session.

Everett R. Dyer Award
This award is made annually to a present or former school board member who has given exceptionally dedicated service to the public schoolchildren of New York State. The award represents the highest ideals of what it means to serve on a school board. Selection of the award recipient is made by the Distinguished Services Award Committee.

Convention Record
NYSSBA hosted its first Annual Convention & Education Expo in Utica in 1920. Since then, the Convention has moved around the state. Take a look at the Convention Record to learn where each Convention was held and who serves as NYSSBA's President that year.
